These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of the private MU Online server operated under the REX MU brand (rexmu.online), including the website, the game client, user accounts, and any purchase made in the shop. By creating an account, installing the client, or using any part of the service, you accept these Terms in full. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.
These Terms are originally drafted in Spanish and are governed by the law of the Argentine Republic (see "Governing Law and Jurisdiction" below). In case of any discrepancy between this version and the English or Portuguese translations available on the site, the Spanish text prevails.
REX MU is a non-profit fan project that operates an unofficial private MU Online server under the trade name "REX MMORPG".

To play, you need to create an account with a username, password and email address. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs on your account.
The minimum age to create an account is 13. If you are between 13 and 17 years old, see "Minors and Purchases" below.
You must provide truthful registration information. Accounts created to evade a sanction (ban evasion) are not allowed, nor is selling or transferring accounts outside of any mechanism the service expressly enables.
Users between 13 and 17 years old represent that they have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the service and to make any purchase, consistent with Article 684 of the Argentine Civil and Commercial Code, which presumes parental consent for everyday, low-value contracts entered into by minors. This presumption does not automatically cover high-value purchases.
A parent, mother/father or legal guardian may contact us at support@rexmu.online to dispute a purchase made by a minor in their care. We will evaluate each case individually; the availability of this contact channel does not guarantee an automatic refund and does not exempt the minor or their guardian from the general rules in these Terms.
The game includes chat between players and other forms of social interaction. All users are expected to treat other players with respect. The detailed conduct rules, what counts as objectionable content (harassment, hate speech, sexual content, spam, impersonation, cheating, exploiting bugs, trading accounts outside the service, among others) and the moderation process are published in our Code of Conduct.
By using chat or any other social feature of the game, you also accept the Code of Conduct, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. We reserve the right to review reports of objectionable content or conduct and to take action where appropriate, including warnings, temporary restrictions, mute, kick, or account ban. We do not guarantee a fixed response time for every report, but reports we receive are reviewed and, where appropriate, acted on.
The REX MU shop lets you buy "RC" (Rex Coins, the service's virtual currency) with real money. RC can be used within the service to obtain VIP status, items and other benefits. RC and everything obtained with it are a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use within the service — they are not the user's property, have no monetary value outside the game, and cannot be redeemed for real money or transferred to another account or person, except where the service expressly enables it (for example, the player market).
"Donations": on the site and in the game we use the words "donate" and "donation" colloquially to mean buying RC. It is not a charitable donation or a gift: every payment is the purchase of a virtual-currency license, in exchange for which the amount of RC shown in the pack is credited to your account. It is not tax-deductible.
Payment methods: depending on your country and on what is enabled at any given time, you can pay with PayPal, MercadoPago, PIX, Binance Pay, cryptocurrency (Bitcoin Lightning or, through the FixedFloat exchange service, other cryptocurrencies) or a Patreon subscription. Each payment is processed by the corresponding provider and is also subject to that provider's own terms and policies. REX MU never receives or stores your card or bank account details.
Price: the final price of each pack, in the currency of the chosen payment method, is shown before you confirm the purchase. Withdrawal fees charged by your exchange or wallet, cryptocurrency network fees, exchange-rate differences, and any taxes or surcharges applied by your bank or country are your responsibility and are not part of the price REX MU charges.
Delivery: RC is credited automatically to the account you were logged in with when you bought (not to a character), usually within seconds to a few minutes after the provider confirms the payment; on-chain cryptocurrency payments can take up to about an hour. The credit is recorded in your account's purchase history (My Account → Purchases). If a confirmed payment is not credited within 24 hours, write to support@rexmu.online with the order code. You are responsible for logging in with the right account before buying.
Acceptance before paying: to complete any purchase you must expressly accept these Terms, including the Refund Policy and the Chargebacks, Disputes and Payment Reversals section, by ticking the corresponding box before paying. Purchases are not possible without that acceptance.
REX MU's shop model is not "pay-to-win": what is sold are cosmetic and convenience upgrades, not decisive competitive advantages. We may adjust the catalog, prices and VIP benefits in the future; changes are not retroactive to purchases already made within the withdrawal period described in the next section.
If REX MU releases an app in the future that offers in-app purchases, those purchases may also be subject to the relevant app store's billing system (Google Play, App Store) and its own policies, without changing what this section provides for purchases made on the website.
As a consumer in the Argentine Republic, you have the right to withdraw from a distance purchase (Art. 34, Consumer Protection Law 24.240; Art. 1110, Civil and Commercial Code; Ministry of Economy Disposición No. 954/2025, which unified and replaced the earlier Resolución 424/2020).
How to exercise it: email support@rexmu.online with "Botón de arrepentimiento" in the subject line, your username, and the purchase you want to reverse. You do not need to log in to the site to do this — this email is the enabled channel. We will reply within 24 hours through the same channel, with a confirmation code for your request.
Deadline: you have 10 calendar days from the date of purchase to exercise this right.
What it covers: the right of withdrawal applies to any RC balance or VIP time you have not yet used in-game at the time of your request. That unused balance is refunded.
What it does not cover: the portion of RC you have already spent in-game (for example, to buy an item or activate VIP time that has already run) is considered a digital service or content already consumed, under the exception in Article 1116 of the Civil and Commercial Code, and is not refundable. This exception applies only to the portion actually consumed, not to the pending balance.
This botón de arrepentimiento also covers cancelling any subscription or recurring service REX MU may offer in the future, in line with the unification of the "botón de baja" under Disposición 954/2025.
This policy explains when a refund applies, how to request it and what happens to the Rex Coins. It does not replace the right of withdrawal, which you can always exercise within its deadline.
How to request it: every refund request is made by writing to support@rexmu.online, preferably from your account's email, with your username, the order code (shown in My Account → Purchases) and the reason. We reply within 24 hours and resolve within 10 business days. You do not need to open a dispute with PayPal, your bank or any other payment method to get a refund you are entitled to.
When a refund applies:
When it does not apply: outside the cases above and whatever the law provides, RC purchases are final once credited. In particular, the following are not refunded: RC already spent in-game (items, VIP time that has already run, services used); requests made because you changed your mind after the withdrawal period; anything lost through sanctions for breaking these Terms or the Code of Conduct; and balance changes, events, maintenance or server resets (see Service Availability, Maintenance and Resets).
How refunds are paid: the refund is made through the same payment method and to the same account, wallet or address you paid from, in the original currency. For a partial refund (for example, when part of the RC has already been used), the amount is calculated in proportion to the unused RC relative to the pack's total RC. REX MU charges no fee for refunds and, when you exercise the right of withdrawal, the full amount paid for the unused portion is returned. We do not control third-party charges outside our own charge, such as your exchange's withdrawal fees, exchange-rate differences or your bank's charges. Cryptocurrency refunds are sent in the same asset and on the same network in which they were received, minus the network fee for sending them unless the law provides otherwise. Once the refund is issued, how long it takes to show up depends on the payment provider or your bank.
What happens to the RC: when a full or partial refund is approved, we deduct from your account the RC corresponding to the refunded amount, including the pack's bonus RC, and any VIP or other benefits activated with that RC may be removed. If your balance is not enough, the rules in Chargebacks, Disputes and Payment Reversals apply to the missing RC.
Subscriptions (Patreon): you can cancel your Patreon subscription at any time; Rex Coins stop being credited from the next charge on. A refund or chargeback of a Patreon charge has the same effects on the RC as described in this policy and in the next section.
A "reversal" is any payment that is reversed or returned without having been approved by REX MU through support@rexmu.online: a dispute or claim in PayPal, a chargeback requested from the bank or card issuer, a claim or mediation in MercadoPago, a refund requested through PIX or Binance Pay, a refund or chargeback on Patreon, or any repudiation of the payment before the provider.
Before opening a dispute, write to us. If you have a problem with a purchase, contact support@rexmu.online first: most cases are resolved with a refund under the Refund Policy, with no consequences for your account.
What happens if you reverse a payment. By accepting these Terms before buying, you expressly agree that, if a payment is reversed by any of those means:
Return the Rex Coins or face a permanent ban. Rex Coins credited by a reversed payment must always be returned. If your account has enough balance, we deduct the full RC and, if there are no other signs of fraud, lift the suspension. If the balance is not enough because the RC has already been spent, you have 15 calendar days from when we notify you at your account's email to resolve the situation in one of two ways: (a) close or withdraw the dispute or chargeback with the provider, so that the payment goes back to REX MU, or (b) pay the reversed amount again. If you do not resolve the situation within that period, the account will be permanently banned.
Repeat reversals (more than one reversed payment), reversing payments whose RC was used to sell RC, items or accounts to other players, or any other sign of fraud are grounds for an immediate permanent ban. A permanent ban may be extended to other accounts of the same holder or linked to them (for example, by the same payment method, email, IP address or device), and any new account created to evade it will also be banned. A ban for a reversed payment does not entitle you to a refund of any RC or VIP left on the account.
Evidence for the payment provider. To defend a legitimate payment before PayPal, the bank or another provider, we may submit the purchase and account information: username and email, order code and transaction ID, date and time of the purchase, the record of the RC being credited and used in-game, game connection logs (including IP address) and these Terms, which the site requires you to accept before every payment. We also reserve the right to take appropriate legal action in cases of fraud.
Unauthorized use of your payment method. If someone used your card, PayPal account or other payment method without your permission to buy RC, write to support@rexmu.online in addition to notifying your provider. We cooperate with the investigation. As the holder of the payment method you will not be sanctioned; the game account that received the RC is handled under this section.
Nothing in this section limits your non-waivable rights as a consumer: exercising the right of withdrawal or requesting a refund through support@rexmu.online is never considered a reversal and never leads to sanctions.
REX MU is a live official server. The server may undergo restarts, scheduled or unscheduled maintenance and, in some cases, data resets (wipes) affecting characters, items or in-game balance, as announced on the site or in-game. We do not guarantee a minimum uptime or uninterrupted availability of the service.
If a wipe were to affect RC or VIP purchased with real money, we will consider a reasonable RC compensation for affected accounts, but this is not a promise of a cash refund beyond what is described in the withdrawal-right section.
We may suspend or cancel an account, with or without prior notice, when we detect a violation of these Terms, of the Code of Conduct, use of cheats or unauthorized software, exploiting bugs for an advantage, fraudulent activity related to payments, or any conduct that puts the service or other players at risk.
Cancelling an account for a violation does not create a right to a refund of RC or VIP already spent. Unused RC or VIP on an account cancelled for a user's violation may be forfeited, without prejudice to the withdrawal-right section where applicable.
Reversing a payment through a dispute, a chargeback or a refund not approved by support has the specific consequences described in Chargebacks, Disputes and Payment Reversals, including suspension and permanent ban of the account.
You can request deletion of your account at any time at delete-account.html, without needing the game client installed. That page explains in detail what data is deleted, what is retained, and why. For more on how we handle your personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
REX MU's own content (the "REX MU" name, text, site design, original elements) belongs to its authors and may not be reproduced commercially without authorization.
The service is provided "as is", with no guarantee of continuous availability, freedom from errors, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by applicable law, REX MU is not liable for indirect damages, loss of game progress, or loss of items or balance resulting from technical failures beyond our control, nor for content posted by other users in chat or other social features.
Nothing in this section limits the non-waivable rights that Consumer Protection Law 24.240 and the Civil and Commercial Code grant to consumers, including the right of withdrawal described above.
We may modify these Terms to reflect changes in the service, in applicable regulations, or in our practices. When a change is significant, we will announce it on the site (for example, in the news section) with reasonable notice before it takes effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page shows when the text was last modified. Continued use of the service after a change takes effect means you accept the new version.
Changes do not affect purchases already made: each purchase is governed by the version of these Terms you accepted when you made it.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic. For any dispute that cannot be resolved through the consumer-service channels described in these Terms, the parties submit to the competent courts of the Argentine Republic, without prejudice to any venue that consumer-protection regulations grant the user at their place of residence.
