MU Online has been a desktop game for twenty years, and most people still assume that is the only way to play it. On REX MU it is not. The same Season 6 Episode 3 world runs on your phone and on your computer, and both are the same server — not a spin-off, not a cut-down companion app, and not a second game that happens to share a name.
You register once. That account works on your phone and on your computer, with no linking step, no separate mobile registration and no code to type from one device into the other. Log in wherever you happen to be.
Your characters, levels, resets, stat points, inventory, Zen and warehouse are stored on the server, not on the device. Close the game on your desk, open it on your phone, and everything is where you left it — because it never moved.
There is one world and everybody is in it. Players on phones and players on desktops share the same maps, the same market, the same guilds and the same rankings, and they fight each other in the same events. Nobody is quarantined into a mobile-only shard.
All seven Season 6 classes are playable from a phone: Dark Knight, Dark Wizard, Elf, Magic Gladiator, Dark Lord, Summoner and Rage Fighter, with their full evolution chains and master skill trees.
Blood Castle, Devil Square, Chaos Castle, Illusion Temple, boss invasions and Castle Siege all run on one schedule for the whole server, and you can enter any of them from a phone.
Open-world PvP, duels, guild wars and the Gens faction war are not disabled on mobile. If you can do it on a desktop client, you can do it from your phone against the same people.
Chaos Machine combinations, wing and pet crafting, jewels, socket items and the player market all work the same way on both clients. There is one economy and one set of prices.
The client is small and it is built for phones people actually own rather than for flagships. As a rule of thumb you want about 3 GB of RAM and 2 GB of free storage. The exact minimum version and the full specification, for both the phone and the PC client, are listed on the download page and kept up to date there rather than repeated here.
It is the classic MU Online, Season 6 Episode 3 — the version most people mean when they say MU Online — running on a phone. It is not MU Origin, MU Archangel or any of the licensed mobile spin-offs, which are different games with different combat, different progression and different economies. REX MU is a fan-run private server, not the official Webzen product.
No. This is a native client that you install and run like any other app. You do not need an emulator, a remote-desktop app, a streaming service or a PC left switched on at home.
Yes, that is the point of it. One account covers both. You can farm on your phone during the day and switch to the desktop client in the evening on the same character, and nothing has to be transferred or synchronised because your progress lives on the server.
Yes. The account, the client and the game cost nothing on either platform. The shop sells VIP perks and cosmetics only — nothing that decides a fight — so a player on a phone who has never spent anything is not at a disadvantage against anyone.
The stats, the damage formulas and the drop tables are identical, because both clients talk to the same server and the server is what decides every fight. A touchscreen is a different input device from a mouse and keyboard, and for some builds that matters, but nothing about the game itself is weakened for you.
Yes. The Android client is on Google Play, so it installs and updates like any other app, and there is a direct APK download on the site if you would rather not use the store. It is a native Android build: no emulator, no remote desktop, no PC left switched on at home. It connects to the same Season 6 server as the Windows client.
Yes. The iOS client is a public beta distributed through TestFlight, which is Apple's own app for pre-release builds: you install TestFlight from the App Store, open our invite, and REX MU installs and updates like a normal app while it makes its way to the App Store proper. It is the same Season 6 world and the same account you would use on Android or on Windows.
Yes, all three clients connect to one server. An Android player, an iPhone player and a Windows player stand in the same map, trade in the same market, join the same guild and fight each other in the same Castle Siege. There is no mobile-only shard and no separate ranking, so choosing a phone over a desktop changes how you play and not who you play with.
